A Bristol and Don’t Panic favourite Ghettozoid, takes us on a journey that explores many genres of bass music, for ninety minutes she tells us the story that fully represents her current European sets; crammed to the rim with fresh new music, and some familiar ‘Purple Wow’ and Bristol sounds seeping through from Joker, Jakes, Guido and more.
Ghettozoid has been bringing her own unique take on bass-heavy music across Europe recently, playing sets all across the continent, talking to Don’t Panic she tells us exactly how the mix came together. “Well I've had a few European gigs this year, where I've played for two hours and really enjoyed it, and after doing a very short and packed mix for Rob Booth Electronic Explorations, I wanted to do a mix that was like my current European sets, but minus the unreleased tracks that aren't allowed on internet.”
This mix features some pretty exclusive material; “I recorded the mix about a month ago, so some of the unreleased tracks featured on there are now released.”
“I recorded it on the weekend after my birthday, in my Berlin studio. I partied so hard that it took me a week to recover and I locked myself in and recorded this mix!” The name, Cabin Fever aptly fits this mix, having locked herself in a room for a week Ghettozoid produced something quite amazing.

Cabin Fever also features an exclusive track from one half of Octopussy, Buf, hilariously called Pony Friend, if you were lucky enough to catch Buf and Ghettozoid at Bloc Weekend this year you would have caught them rocking a very fetching horse and horse rider fancy dress outfits!
With One4Ho release, Silverman - Can’t Stand The Rain getting a place within the mix, what more can we expect from the label? “I'm just securing a super hot remix for my track which is going to be 003 on One4Ho, also finishing a track called Boy Toy which is going to be a giveaway through Chrome Kids and Bass Music Blog, with an ultra heavy remix from Silverman, and a release early next year on Idle Hands.” It looks like a busy few months for Ghettozoid, not only with One4Ho, but also with the band, Bubbz & The Black Notez, who recently supported Chromeo at a Clash Magazine party
